| What
necklace length is right for me? |
The
illustration at the right shows where necklaces of various lengths
will fall:
- An
18" necklace will rest at or above the collar bone.
- A
26" necklace will drop to mid bust.
- A
36" necklace will drop just below the bust.
- A
44" necklace will fall a few inches above the waist.
A
necklace that is approximately 44" long is ideal for doubling
up. When worn wrapped twice around the neck it will look like
you have one 18" necklace and one 26" necklace on.

| What
is gold filled? |
| Gold
filled or gold overlay is a process of pressure bonding a thin layer
of gold to a base metal core. Unlike gold plating, gold filled has
an actual layer of gold, giving it more value and making it tarnish-resistant.
Gold filled jewelry will remain gold for a lifetime if cared for
properly.

| What
are Czech druk glass beads? |
| Druks
are round pressed glass beads made in the Czech Republic. These
smooth glass beads come in many colors and can be transparent or
opaque. |
| What
is a facet (a.k.a. faceted)? |
| A
facet is a smooth surface on an otherwise curved surface. For example,
a pyramid could also be described as a cone with four facets. |
|
| What
is Swarovski crystal? |
| Crystal
is made by adding lead oxide to glass. The lead in crystal is what
makes it sparkle and reflect colors so much more than plain glass.
It also makes crystal heavier than glass. The higher the lead content,
the better quality the crystal. In the US, glass must have at least
1% lead content to qualify as crystal. Swarovski crystal has at
least 30% lead content. Swarovski crystals are regarded as the highest
quality machine cut and polished crystal in the world. |
